FREO BUILDS


MONDAY 6 JULY TO SUNDAY 12 JULY | 10am-4pm

Freo Builds Returns! Journey into the future or blast to the past at this year's LEGO® fun. Freo Builds returns with a time-travel twist, reimagining Fremantle's most iconic locations.  6-12 July. The event is FREE, but booking is essential.  Book your free trail ticket here now.

NAIDOC Week Community Celebration Day


WEDNESDAY 8 JULY 10am–2pm

Join the City of Fremantle to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2026 and this year’s theme, 50 Years of Deadly.  The Walyalup Aboriginal Cultural Centre is hosting a free community celebration featuring A Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, Storytimes and dance performances, face painting and other kids' activities.  All are welcome! 

Be sure to also check out the other school holiday activities at the WACC including Storytime & Painting sessions (4+) and a cultural incursion program for little ones (3-5yo). 

Behind the Builds with Jackson & Alex 

Meet the local legends and winners of LEGO Masters Australia Season 2 as they take you behind the builds, sharing the creativity, problem-solving and perseverance that helped bring some of their most ambitious LEGO creations to life. Designed for kids aged 8-15 and their families, this event is sure to sell out so get in quick for the Lego lover in your life!

ROCK Your School Holidays with Penny Lane's Music Workshop! 

Get creative and release your inner rock star with three hours of music, creativity and fun! Learn how to jam, play in a real band and perform for family and friends. This program is designed to build confidence, creativity and connection through music. ROCK your SCHOOL holidays welcome young musicians of all abilities and skill levels.

Kids Camp at PIAZZA Fremantle

CALLING ALL HAPPY CAMPERS!  PIAZZA is running an action-packed daytime 'KIDS CAMP'. Bursting with colour, imagination and hands-on fun, it’s the kind of place where ideas come to life and kids can spend a few carefree hours doing what they love most. Expect a lively mix of making, music and playful energy in an inspiring setting that invites every camper to create, explore and enjoy every moment.

ART HOUR with Anya Brock


4 TO 19 JULY | VARIOUS SESSIONS

A joyful, creative activity to keep little hands busy and imaginations flying! In this fun and vibrant one-hour session, kids will bring an iconic Anya Brock painting to life on a 41cm x 51cm pre-drawn canvas. Bold paints and ready-to-hang canvases are provided, so they’ll walk away with a bright artwork they can proudly display at home. Book your session here.

Scavenger Hunt at the WA Army Museum


4 TO 19 JULY | 10am-2.30pm

Head to the WA Army Museum these school holidays for a fun, family-friendly adventure. Young visitors can put their problem-solving skills to the test by decoding a Morse Code secret using clues hidden throughout the galleries or take part in a scavenger hunt to uncover fascinating items across the museum.

6 TO 17 JULY | VARIOUS SESSIONS

If you’d like your kids to get messy somewhere other than your house, create something they’ll be proud to keep, and learn from real working artists, the kid's art classes at the WFAC are the perfect place to go these school holidays.  Explore a range of workshops, from acting to mosaics, pet portraits, and cartoon creations.  There is something for every budding artist. Kids Clay Creations Pottery Workshops 


Tuesdays & Thursdays | 10.30am-1.30pm

Get creative at a just-for-kids pottery workshop with Winterwares. Guided by expert ceramicists Ana and Abby, young makers can shape, sculpt and create anything from practical mugs to quirky mythical creatures in a relaxed, supportive studio environment. With all materials supplied, plus glazing and firing included, they will leave with a one-of-a-kind keepsake and a big sense of accomplishment. AFLW: Dockers take on the Adelaide Crows

Catch the Fremantle Dockers AFLW team in action at Fremantle Oval these school holidays, taking on the Adelaide Crows in a special pre-season match simulation. This is your only chance to see the Dockers play in the heart of Fremantle this year, so pull on your purple, gather your crew and be part of the season kick-off. With FREE entry and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, it is the perfect way to spend a winter afternoon soaking up the excitement of footy.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT AT GAGE ROADS


THURSDAYS | 5-8PM

Thursday nights at Gage Roads Freo have earned a cult following, and it is easy to see why. From 5pm, the games room transforms into a full-blown family froth fest packed with free face painting, bubble-filled chaos, weekly activities and a free kids’ meal with every adult meal. While the little ones are entertained, the big kids can settle in with footy on the big screen, and great Gage Roads fare, making it a relaxed, laughter-filled way to break up the school week and turn an ordinary Thursday into something everyone looks forward to.
