We are delighted to welcome FSC members Wade and Robyn Hughes as our guest speakers for the September Club Lunch.
In their presentation, On Being with Whales, Wade and Robyn will share highlights from 14 expeditions travelling the world's oceans in search of whales.
Their journey has taken them from the Azores and Polynesia to the fjords of Norway and beyond, resulting in an acclaimed photographic exhibition and the award-winning book Looking for Whales. Through their images and accounts they will offer glimpses into the lives and observed behaviour of humpback whales, sperm whales, orcas and other species encountered along the way.
This presentation explores what it means to spend time in the presence of these advanced species that we know as ‘whales.’
Combining adventure, photography, natural history and a long-time interest in the marine environment. On Being with Whales promises to be a fascinating and inspiring lunchtime presentation.
The event includes a drink on arrival, followed by the presentation and buffet lunch.
