A curated range of small but beautiful paintings to take you through the summer break.
The artists apply their stories to their canvases to describe the cultural and regional qualities of their homelands. Utopia artists Rita Pula Loy creates the rolling sandhill patterns of Central Australia and Dora Mbitjana combines traditional women’s body painting motifs into her work. Rachael Nambula includes images of the bush yam as does Eileen Bird Kngwarreye and Joy Petyarre. Other exhibiting artists include Nellie Marks Nakamarra, Jeannie Mills Pwerle, Belinda Golder Kngwarreye and Freda Price Pwerle amongst others.
The gallery will close from 25 December to 4 January.
