Local community champion Sarah Booth was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to travel across Europe and investigate creative solutions to commercial vacancies in city centres and high streets. Along the way she was joined by fellow traveller, community champion and Independent electoral candidate Kate Hulett. They arrived home with valuable insights into the causes and curbs behind empty shops and buildings.
Join Sarah and Kate, fresh off the plane, to hear about the compelling urban activations they saw strolling and cycling some of the most design-centric, people-focused cities in the world. Together, they’ll share a host of simple, achievable ideas to reinvigorate Fremantle city centre as a place of community, vibrancy and care.
Doors open at 6 pm and the conversation commences at 6.30pm.
