Fremantle Design Week | 16-25 Oct 2026

Imagine a better future through creativity, innovation and design. Western Australia's premier celebration of design transforms the port city into a vibrant hub of ideas, inspiration and creative discovery. Across ten days, explore more than 60 exhibitions, talks, tours, workshops, open studios and special events that showcase the people and projects shaping the future of design.

F.RE.O Fashion Festival | 17 Oct 2026

The inaugural F.RE.O Fashion Festival 2026 is a celebration of Western Australian fashion. Featuring three distinct runway showcases, an extensive fashion market for independent designers, makers, and pre-loved and vintage fashion, hands-on upcycling workshops, and informative industry talks. The festival highlights local creative talent while inspiring a vibrant, inclusive, and collaborative fashion industry.

Little Italy by the Sea & Blessing of the Fleet | 25 Oct 2026

Little Italy by the Sea brings the colour, flavours and traditions of the Italian seaside to the Fishing Boat Harbour. Held alongside Fremantle's iconic Blessing of the Fleet, enjoy authentic food, live entertainment, cultural performances, family fun and a spectacular fireworks finale as the waterfront comes alive in a celebration of Italian heritage and maritime culture.

Fremantle Beerfest | 13-14 Nov 2026

Since 2011, BeerFest has brought together the best in craft beer, cider, and cocktails, perfectly paired with indulgent street food, for a festival overflowing with flavour and fun. But there’s nowhere quite like Fremantle to host this party. Freo BeerFest 2026, presented by Little Creatures, is WA’S ultimate weekend of drinks, food, live music & fun.

Wardarnji | 28 Nov 2026

Join for an unforgettable evening of Nyoongar dance, storytelling and song. Led by celebrated Nyoongar performer and producer Karla Hart, Wardarnji unites over 100 performers in an exhilarating fusion of traditional and contemporary dance. Wardarnji is family-friendly and suitable for all ages, with food vendors opening from 4pm and performances beginning at 6pm.

SailGP Championship, Bathers Beach | 20-21 Feb 2027

SailGP returns to Fremantle’s Bathers Bay on 20–21 February 2027 for thrilling high-speed racing and an electric summer festival atmosphere. The event will bring the globe’s best sailors and their lightning-fast, 50-foot foiling catamarans to town. Think international racing teams from 12 nations, cutting-edge catamarans flying at over 100km/h, and close-to-shore action that will bring the racing right to the fans.

Palace Foreshore | 28 Feb- 3 Mar 2027

Fremantle is set to welcome a major new live music event in 2027, with Palace Foreshore Fremantle announcing a series of headline outdoor concerts at Esplanade Park across February and March. The first act confirmed is global electronic music icon Fatboy Slim, who will perform on Wednesday 3 March 2027.

Mark your calendars, The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival returns for another spectacular Easter long weekend in 2027. See local talent shine alongside global stars, more than 160 FREE and family-friendly performances, and an electric energy take over the heart of Fremantle.
