Fremantle is set to welcome a major new live music event in 2027, with Palace Foreshore Fremantle announcing a series of headline outdoor concerts at Esplanade Park across February and March. The first act confirmed is global electronic music icon Fatboy Slim, who will perform on Wednesday 3 March 2027.
Originally established in Melbourne's St Kilda, Palace Foreshore has become one of Australia's most recognised outdoor music precincts, attracting major international and Australian artists including Grace Jones, Fontaines D.C., The Streets, De La Soul, Pendulum and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. In 2027, the event will make its first move west, bringing its seaside concert experience to Fremantle's iconic foreshore.
The new series will feature four headline shows across two weekends, with three additional acts to be announced throughout September.

Best known for chart-topping dancefloor classics including Praise You, Right Here Right Now, Weapon of Choice and The Rockafeller Skank, Fatboy Slim has been a defining figure in electronic music for more than three decades. His Fremantle appearance forms part of a national tour that will see him perform in a series of unique venues across Australia, with each location offering a distinct experience
Speaking about the upcoming tour, Fatboy Slim said he wanted to move beyond traditional arena and festival settings.
"For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party!"
The Fremantle show follows another huge year for the artist, including performances at Coachella, multiple shows on Brighton Beach and an appearance at Rock in Rio Brazil.
Behind the new series is a team with extensive experience delivering major arts and music events across Australia, including work with Perth Festival, Dark Mofo, Vivid Sydney, RISING Festival and FRINGE WORLD Festival.
With Esplanade Park set to become Fremantle's newest outdoor music precinct, the arrival of Palace Foreshore adds another major live music experience to the city's events calendar and reinforces Fremantle's reputation as one of Western Australia's leading destinations for live entertainment.
