BAKERIES AND PATISSERIES
There’s a massive choice of simply great bread in Fremantle’s south. You’ll feel like you’ve entered a Parisian boulangerie at Wild Bakery. Memorable loaves and or sweet treats can also be found at Little Loaf (the Fremantle counterpart to North Street Bakery), Abhi's Bakery and La Vespa. In the city centre, Bread in Common’s ovens (known as Hansel and Gretel) fire up daily to produce the perfect sourdough and baked delights.
BEER, WINE AND SPIRITS
Fremantle’s liquor stores, breweries and wine stores are stand out. Go direct to the cellar door at Little Creatures to pick up your favourite brew or stop in for expert sommelier level advice at Old Bridge Cellars, Freo Doctor and Wise Child Wine Store.

BUTCHER & FISHMONGERS
Frank’s Gourmet Meats on Wray Avenue has a loyal following. Delight in the chaotically busy signage as much as the offerings: camel, duck, rabbit and goat, plus all the less exotic stuff. You’ll pick up the best catch of the day at Sealanes on Marine Terrace and did you know Kailis offers fresh fish in their newly reno’d Fishing Boat Harbour café.

GROCERS
Galati & Sons delicatessen is a fixture on Wray Avenue. Locals flock here for inexpensive fresh provisions and aisles of treats, from Buffalo mozzarella to Italian prosciutto to passata. It’s the basics, plus Europe. If it’s fresh herbs and organic you’re after Peaches or Manna Wholefoods are the top spots.
HERBS & SPICES
The aroma of exotic spices and pastes will hit you from a hundred paces before you arrive at Kakulas Sister on Market Street. Seek out all things Asian at the Chinese supermarket on Cantonment Street or the Herb + Spice + Tea Shop at Fremantle Markets.
THIS IS FREMANTLE – everything you need to create culinary heaven at home.
