Exhibition: Art with the Stars Walyalup

Head to the WA Shipwrecks Museum in Fremantle to discover an exhibition of art, showcasing the creative artistry of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls across Western Australia. Each piece, produced within the Shooting Stars program, is a narrative, offering a window into the unique perspectives and incredible stories of these artists. The artwork collectively reflects their journeys, aspirations, and their deep connection to culture, community, and self.

Fremantle Markets

No long weekend would be complete without a mooch through one of Fremantle's most iconic attractions. Fremantle Markets will be open Friday to Monday (9 am - 6 pm) - Yard from 8 am. It's a one stop shop for locals picking up groceries and a morning coffee, families spending an afternoon browsing stalls and visitors soaking up the atmosphere.

Workshop: Mug Making

On Saturday, craft your very own mugs and saucers for tea, coffee and hot chocolate in this fun and relaxing class (3pm – 5.30pm)! Bring together pottery and your love of keep cups and funky mugs with Shiloh from Happy Hub Collective and you will learn how to make your very own mug to use at home with your favourite beverages using basic hand-building techniques.

Meditation HQ

Gather at Bathers Beach at 6.45am on Saturday to sit in stillness by the beautiful ocean, to breathe and connect with yourself and others. The meditation session is FREE, everybody is welcome, and no booking is required.

Bottomless Brunch at Old Courthouse

Brunch is always better when it's bottomless! This Saturday, soak up chilled chilled alfresco vibes, and enjoy a delicious two-course brunch menu, perfectly accompanied with two hours of bottomless beverages, and cool disco beats from their resident DJ.

Workshop: Dip Bowl and Grazing Plate Pottery 

Elevate your summer season cheese boards with handcrafted ceramics! Join Shiloh from Happy Hub Collective and elevate your festive season gatherings and summer soirees by learning how to make dip bowls and grazing plates. Your lovely ceramic teacher will guide you on how to build your own unique clay designs during this Fremantle pottery workshop.

Exhibition: Martumili Artists at Japingka Gallery

Explore the work of eighteen Martu artists, who express their traditional ties to country and the kinship groups who continue to pass down cultural knowledge embedded in the lands that their ancestors have inhabited. This exhibition includes work from Nancy Nyanjilpayi Chapman, Yikartu Bumba, Lorna Linmurra, Elizabeth Toby and May Mayiwalku Chapman (daily, 10am – 5pm)

Exhibition: Jane Mitchell | Sharon Officer, 2/Views

Discover the product of 16 years of drawing still life – Jane Mitchell and Sharon Officer’s meditative art practice focuses on slowing down and devoting time to ‘look’ carefully at familiar domestic objects with appreciation. As they spend time with each object, they select what is important and interesting about what they’re observing, emphasising its beauty. Exhibition runs until Sunday 3 March (daily, 11am – 3pm).

Exhibition: Air Bare – A Take on Minimalism

See the world from an entirely different perspective as explore the colourful, eye-catching, unique, quizzical and quirky photographic collaborations of mother and daughter duo, Sarah and Lucy Jenkins. Fremantle-based artists Sarah, who operates a drone using a remote control sitting in her lap, is confined to a wheelchair and can’t operate a conventional camera as she has muscular dystrophy. Together with Lucy, an architectural graduate working with world-renowned firm Foster + Partners in London, they have become a multiple award winning and globally recognised team who share a passion for minimalism. The exhibition will support Neuromuscular WA – a raffled print will be drawn at the end of the exhibition (daily, 10am – 3pm).

Kids Eat Free Every Sunday at Tradewinds

Leave the cooking to the Tradewinds every Sunday – be it be breakfast, lunch or dinner 6.30 am - late (kitchen closes at 9 pm). Take the family down for a meal and drinks on them, with live entertainment at their restaurant and bar courtyard every afternoon.

Community Bootcamp Project at South Beach Recreational Reserve

Join the weekly, outdoor group fitness class that bring aims to bring social connection, physical fitness, and mental wellbeing benefits of group outdoor fitness to as many people as possible! Class is held every Saturday morning at 7am.
