Kid-Friendly Cafes and Restaurants in Fremantle

Gage Roads
This port side gem has quickly become popular with families and for good reason. With loads of fun things for the kids both inside and outside, visiting is always a good idea, rain, hail or shine. Grab a beer, order a meal and settle in, because the kids aren’t going to want to leave anytime soon.
Bathers Beach House
Where else can you watch the kids run wild with a drink in hand, food on the way and sand between your toes? On a clear afternoon or evening, you can’t get much better. No playground required!
Ootong & Lincoln
Looking for a place to get your caffeine fix and a bite, with the toddler in tow? This long standing South Freo café has some great retro vibes and a small play area for the little ones, giving you more time to chat to your mates about just how sleep deprived you are.
Sunshine Harvester Works
Perfect for those wet nights, this hawkers style food market will keep you dry and give the kids enough room to burn some energy. With a variety of tasty eats, from burgers to tacos, pizza to dumplings, it will cater to even the fussiest of family members.
Old Courthouse
A piece of Freo’s history beautifully restored and now the perfect place to take the family for a slow Sunday lunch. There’s something for everyone, with a fenced in grass area for the big kids, a sandpit for the little ones, live music on the weekends and even an onsite rotisserie.
Piggy Food Co
This North Freo hot spot serves up its take on Southern Californian bites (think chicken wings and tacos) and is sure to be a fun night out with the whole gang (dog included!). If the kids aren’t busy drawing on their mini chalkboards, bribe them with an ice-cream sandwich so you can kick back and enjoy a margarita or two.
Clancy’s Fish Pub
An iconic Freo establishment that brings together the best our Port City has to offer - fresh seafood, live music and family friendly fun. Grab a drink, order a meal and let the kids burn some energy on Princess May Park. Take them down on a Friday or Sunday for some face painting and you might be lucky enough to bump into Farmer Damian and his animal farms too.
